RM of St. Philips’s story
The Rural Municipality of St. Philips No. 301 became a rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It lies in east-central Saskatchewan and surrounds the village of Pelly, where the RM office is located.
Today the RM is governed by an elected council and an appointed administrator, and council meets on the third Thursday of each month. The area is served by the Canadian National Railway and by Highways 8 and 49. Nearby attractions include Fort Pelly, Madge Lake and Duck Mountain Provincial Park.
